Privacy summary: The Eden Army Prepping App is designed to work primarily offline. Preparedness inventory, household information, animal information, plans, checklists, MAG records, training records, and drill records are stored locally on your Android device. Eden Army Productions LLC does not operate a cloud account system for this app and does not receive or store this information on an Eden Army server.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The app allows you to create and store information that may include:

  • Preparedness inventory items, quantities, storage locations, expiration dates, calories, and nutrition details.
  • Optional firearm inventory records you choose to enter, including make, model, caliber, serial number, storage/location, and notes.
  • Optional ammunition inventory records, including caliber, quantity, and storage/location.
  • Household planning information used to estimate food and water needs.
  • Pet or livestock information used to estimate food and water requirements.
  • Plans, checklists, notes, and preparedness tasks.
  • Mutual Assistance Group (MAG) member names, roles, skills, contact information, resources, certifications, and notes that you choose to enter.
  • Training sessions, drills, participants, results, and related notes.
  • Inventory activity such as items added, used, rotated, discarded, or adjusted.

This information is stored locally in the app database on your device. The app does not require an Eden Army account and does not automatically upload this information to Eden Army Productions LLC.

2. Barcode Scanning and Product Lookup

The app can scan supported product barcodes using your device camera. When you choose to scan a barcode, the camera is used only for the scanning function.

To identify packaged food and retrieve nutrition information, the app may send the scanned barcode number to a third-party public food database such as Open Food Facts. The barcode number is used to look up product information. The app does not intentionally send your name, MAG records, inventory notes, household data, or other locally stored preparedness information with that lookup.

Product information returned from a public database may be incomplete or inaccurate. Users should verify nutrition and package information against the product label before relying on it.

3. Internet Access

Most app features are designed to work offline. Internet access may be used for optional product lookups, such as retrieving nutrition information for a scanned barcode. Previously saved product information may be available locally while offline.

4. Camera Permission

Camera access is used for barcode scanning when you initiate that feature. The app does not use the camera in the background and does not intentionally record or store photos or video from barcode scans.

5. Backup, Export, and Cloud Sync

The Eden Army Prepping App does not provide an Eden Army cloud-sync service. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for the app so locally stored preparedness, MAG, firearm, and ammunition data are not automatically backed up by the app through Android’s standard backup mechanism.

The app can create a full local backup file only when you explicitly choose to do so and select a destination through Android’s file picker. A full backup contains the local app database, including firearm serial numbers and storage locations if you entered them. Treat full backup files as sensitive and store them securely. The ordinary inventory CSV export does not include firearm records.

6. Advertising and Analytics

The current version of the app does not include third-party advertising and does not include an Eden Army analytics system for tracking how you use the app.

Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer, or other services installed on your device may collect diagnostics or usage information under their own privacy policies. Those services are not controlled by Eden Army Productions LLC.

7. Sharing of Personal Information

Eden Army Productions LLC does not sell personal information collected through the app. Because the app is primarily local-only, Eden Army Productions LLC generally does not receive the personal or preparedness data you enter into the app.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored app information remains on your device until you delete records within the app, clear the app’s data through Android settings, or uninstall the app. Dismissing an item from the Home screen’s Recent Activities area does not necessarily delete the underlying inventory, training, or history record.

9. Security

The app is designed to keep user-entered preparedness information on the device unless you explicitly export a backup or CSV file. However, no device or software system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting access to their device and any exported backup files with appropriate security measures.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Eden Army Prepping App is not directed specifically to children under 13 and is intended as a preparedness planning and inventory tool for general users.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated if the app’s features or data practices change. When the policy changes, the “Last Updated” date above will be revised.
