Tac 1 through 3 (IDF Basics)
We appreciate your decision to select I.T.S for your active shooter mitigation training. Our training approach is rooted in the IDF’s individual warrior doctrine. It sets itself apart from the United States’ method of dealing with active shooters, primarily in that the IDF does not advocate the ‘Surround and Contain’ strategy, which is often mandated in the United States (However this is quickly changing). The IDF takes a more direct approach to mitigate the shooter. These techniques are not only applicable to active shooters they also grant the student the ability to stave off home invaders should they find themselves in that situation. Two recent incidents highlight the limitations of the ‘surround and contain’ approach: The Pulse Nightclub and The Uvalde school incident.
I wouldn’t go so far as to claim that this is the ultimate method, but I can confidently say that it provides an additional tool in your toolkit.
